Hello World

Why I'm starting to write publicly — and what to expect.

meta

I spend most of my time in two worlds that rarely overlap.

By day, I work in private equity — special situations, middle market. The job is disciplined underwriting, pattern recognition, and separating signal from noise. By night, I build autonomous AI systems: options trading bots that execute without human intervention, prediction market APIs, agent infrastructure.

The overlap between investing and building is more natural than people assume. Both require making decisions under uncertainty. Both reward durability over cleverness. Both punish you for confusing a demo with something that actually works.

I’m starting this site to write at that intersection.

Some posts will be about investing: special situations, capital structures, what actually matters when evaluating risk in a middle market business. Some will be about building: agents, automation, the gap between an impressive prototype and a system that survives contact with real markets. A few will just be about the practical work of making things function — which is still underrated.

The goal isn’t volume. It’s clarity. If something is here, it should sharpen how I think — or help someone else build something more durable.
